More GM Recalls

By June 18, 2014February 9th, 2017Car Accidents, Product Liability

In what seems to be a weekly occurrence, GM has announced a new recall for millions of vehicles due to ignition problems. The 3.36 million defective vehicles included in this recall have ignition defects that can cause the electrical system to shut off when the vehicles are in motion. Electrical system shut down can result in a complete loss of vehicle control, increasing risk for serious or fatal injury.

This latest recall is simply one more in a line of similar recalls linked to poor design and shoddy manufacturing processes endemic in modern vehicle production. According to GM, the design of the ignition switch in the recalled vehicles has been in use for years. It is currently being revamped.
