More than 14 million vehicles from 11 automakers have recently been recalled due to Takata airbag defects. The defects, known about by Takata for at least ten years, have resulted in two deaths and over 130 injuries – 30 of which occurred in Honda models. Reports suggest that Honda, along with Takata, was aware of potential dangers as early as 2004, yet took no steps to address the problem.

This recall is for airbags manufactured by Takata, but involves vehicles made by:

  • BMW
  • Chrysler
  • Ford
  • GM
  • Honda
  • Isuzu
  • Mazda
  • Mitsubishi
  • Nissan
  • Subaru
  • Toyota

If you have received information about this recall, it is important that you follow the manufacturer’s recommendations to help prevent injury caused by these defective airbags.
